RAS Distribution: How to Register
(for new customers)
This document explains how to register as a new customer on RASDist.com
Sales team: this can come in handy when talking with customers that have not visited or used our web site.
Steps to register:
- At the very top of the home page there is a "Log In" link to the left of the shopping cart icon. Click on this link.
- The login page is displayed. See partial screenshot below:
- If you already have an account, in region #1 type your email and password to login.
- If you don't have an account please look at region #2 where it says "New?" and under it "Create a customer profile".
- You must provide all the information required in the form that starts at region #2.
When you have finished typing all your information, click on the "Submit" button.
- Fields without a red "*" on the side can be left blank. However, we suggest to fill out all the fields.
- The most important fields are: first name, last name, email, password and phone. Please provide an email address that you use on a regular basis, it's easier to remember. Our system will send emails and newsletters to this email.
- You do not have to subscribe to our newsletter, but if you do, ask for the "HTML" version because the "TEXT-only" version is pretty boring.
- Your information can later be edited/modified by logging into your account, and clicking on the "My Account" link.
- We strongly suggest that you write down the email and password you used to register.
We have no access to the passwords, and if you forget your password, you will have to go through the "Forgot your password?" process.
That is all! Once the registration process is complete, you get a welcome email and are immediately logged into the website.
There are two possible errors that can happen during the registration process:
#1: You have left a required field blank.
Solution: please fill all the fields.
#2: You have already registered using the same email (and you do not remember the password.)
Solution: go through the "Forgot your password?" process. Here are the steps:
- In the screenshot of the registration screen, look in region #3 where it says "Forgot your password?" Click on the link.
- The next screen will ask for your email address. Type your email and click on "Submit".
- Check your email: you will receive a temporary password which you can use in order to login. We strongly advise that you change this temporary password to one of your own.
Tips & Tricks:
- Registration is free and hassle-free: we do not share your email or any other information.
- Product prices are displayed only after you login.
- If you add items to the shopping cart, and then leave the site or exit the system by clicking "Log Out" at the top of the page, the system remembers the contents of your cart.
The next time you log in, you can keep shopping where you left off.
You can add items to the shopping cart at your convenience, or delete the existing items from the cart and start fresh.
- Since we are a wholesale site, you do not need to provide a credit card.
Once you complete your order, the sales team gets an email and contacts you regarding the order, shipping and payment details.
